Plan Purchase Terms
1. What you are buying. You are buying a license to use one set of house plans (the "Plans") to build one home at one location. You are not buying the copyright. Copying, reselling, sharing or building more than one home from the Plans requires written permission and an additional license.
2. Plans are not stamped. The Plans are stock designs. They are not sealed or stamped by a licensed architect or engineer and are not guaranteed to meet the building codes, zoning rules, snow, wind, seismic or soil conditions where you build.
3. Your responsibility before building. Before construction you must have the Plans reviewed by a licensed professional (architect, engineer or qualified designer) and your local building department. Many areas require local engineering (for example, foundations, structural framing, wind or seismic design) and some require a local professional's stamp. Any changes they require are your responsibility and cost.
4. Verify everything. Dimensions, quantities and the materials list are estimates. Your builder must verify all dimensions, details and quantities on site before ordering materials or starting work.
5. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Electrical, plumbing and HVAC sheets show layout intent only. Final design and installation must be done by licensed trades according to local code.
6. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Plans is limited to the price you paid for them. We are not liable for construction costs, delays, permit denials, or damages arising from construction, use, or modification of the Plans.
7. Digital delivery and refunds. Plans are delivered as digital files. Because files cannot be returned once downloaded, all sales are final, except where a file is defective or missing, in which case we will replace it.
8. Modifications. Changes ordered from us are quoted separately and are subject to these same terms.
9. Agreement. By completing your purchase you confirm you have read and agree to these terms.
